The Junior Youth Orchestra is for students from grades 4 through 9. This highly successful orchestra provides training sessions, which cover all of the basics of being an orchestral musician. The orchestra meets on Saturday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:00pm from late September through early May. The group performs an average of three concerts per year. There is also a one-day "mini-camp" in the fall with intensive rehearsals and recreational activities. A limited number of scholarships for private study are awarded each year by the Symphony Guild of Charlotte, Inc. to students who are in financial need. The annual tuition is $250.
