July 30-August 3, 2008
Converse College in Spartanburg, SC
2007 camp information
The CSYO season begins with a free five-day residential summer camp held during the first week of August. The CSYO will perform its first public concert of their season on the last day of camp. This summer camp is a project of the Symphony Guild of Charlotte and is completely financed through the Guild’s fund-raising projects. This camp is the only youth orchestra camp of its kind in the United States. In 1994, the American Symphony Orchestra League (ASOL) selected the Guild to present this project at its national convention and recognized the Guild with an award.
