The Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra is hosting a reunion! May 15 & 16, 2010 This two-day event culminates in the CSYO Spring Concert, Sunday May 16 at 3:30 pm at Halton Theater, Central Piedmont Community College. The concert features a performance of Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, composed by former CSYO violinist Ted Gellar-Goad and narrated by former CSYO violinist Jessica McJunkins, and an exciting side-by-side performance of Saint-Saens’ Danse Bacchanale with CSYO alumni. A reception follows. Saturday May 15 activities include an afternoon rehearsal, a program exploring the stories behind Gellar’s fascinating work, and a party for current and past youth orchestra musicians.
